HADEASolid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOEC)2026

INDTEGRATE

Industrial Net-Zero Technology Gateway for Real-world Application and Transition Enablement | Integrating solid oxide electrolysis cells into energy intensive industries

General Objective

INDTEGRATE aims to accelerate the decarbonisation of energy-intensive industries by enabling the efficient integration of Solid Oxide Electrolyser Cell (SOEC) technology into industrial processes. Combining green hydrogen production, industrial waste heat recovery, renewable energy sources, digital twins, and advanced energy management systems, the project will demonstrate a modular 220 kW SOEC solution in the ceramics and glass sectors, supporting significant CO₂ emission reductions while improving operational efficiency and industrial competitiveness.

ena's Role in INDTEGRATE

ENA leads the Communication & Dissemination activities of INDTEGRATE, supporting the project's visibility, stakeholder outreach, knowledge transfer, and the uptake of results across industrial, research, and policy communities. ENA also contributes to the assessment of policy and regulatory frameworks and the identification of barriers and needs for the integration of net-zero technologies in energy-intensive industries.

Impact & Results

INDTEGRATE will demonstrate an innovative pathway for integrating green hydrogen technologies into energy-intensive industries through the deployment of a modular SOEC system supported by digital twins and advanced energy management solutions. The project is expected to reduce industrial CO₂ emissions by up to 40%, improve energy efficiency through the utilisation of renewable energy and waste heat, and provide a scalable and replicable solution for industrial decarbonisation. Through pilot demonstrations, stakeholder engagement, skills development, and knowledge sharing activities, INDTEGRATE will contribute to the wider uptake of net-zero technologies across Europe and support the transition towards climate-neutral manufacturing.
