ena Development Consultants participated in the Kick-off Meeting of the Horizon Europe project INDTEGRATE, held on 4 June 2026 in Valencia, Spain, marking the official launch of a three-year European collaboration dedicated to accelerating the integration of green hydrogen into energy-intensive industries.

The meeting brought together all consortium partners to align on the project's objectives, technical approach, implementation roadmap and collaboration strategy, establishing a strong foundation for the successful delivery of the project.

Accelerating industrial decarbonisation through green hydrogen

INDTEGRATE addresses one of the major challenges of Europe's climate transition: the decarbonisation of energy-intensive industries where direct electrification is not always technically or economically feasible.

To tackle this challenge, the project develops integrated solutions combining renewable electricity, waste heat recovery technologies, Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOEC) and advanced Digital Twin technologies to improve the efficiency, flexibility and cost-effectiveness of green hydrogen production and integration into industrial processes.

By bringing these technologies together, INDTEGRATE aims to reduce carbon emissions, increase energy efficiency and support the transition towards a climate-neutral and competitive European industry.

Kick-off Meeting in Valencia

During the Kick-off Meeting, consortium partners introduced their organisations, presented their roles and responsibilities, and discussed the technical, scientific and management activities that will shape the project over the next three years.

The discussions focused on the development of the project's innovative technological solutions, the preparation of pilot demonstrations and the collaboration required to successfully implement the integrated hydrogen systems. Particular attention was given to the combination of green hydrogen, waste heat recovery and digital technologies as key enablers for cleaner and more sustainable industrial processes.

The meeting also provided an excellent opportunity for partners to strengthen collaboration, align priorities and establish the governance framework that will guide the consortium throughout the project's lifetime.

ena's role in INDTEGRATE

As a project partner, ena Development Consultants contributes its expertise in communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement and exploitation, supporting the visibility of the project and ensuring that its activities and results reach relevant stakeholders across Europe.

Through strategic communication, stakeholder outreach and collaboration with consortium partners, ena will contribute to promoting the project's achievements and facilitating knowledge exchange between research organisations, industry, public authorities and the wider innovation ecosystem.
